curious
box
The Curious box was designed after observing Victorian writing desks and
Curiosity boxes used to collect objects during the same era. This theme
later developed into the idea that the box itself could become the object
of curiosity.
The
outcome of the project was the curiosity box, a small desktop container
that retained some of the proportions and details of the writing desks
whilst creating smaller spaces within to store the collections on today's
desks; paper and letters. One of the boxes was produced in Oak as showpiece
for the timeframe show.
